Become acquainted with the basic features and keywords of the ECLIPSE Black oil simulator. An overview of the input data and file handling characteristics is followed by a presentation of each section of the input data and a practical exercise. The exercises allow you to construct a simulation model from scratch. The course incorporates instruction in the use of the Petrel* Reservoir Engineering (RE) pre- and post-processor (part of the Petrel E&P software platform) as an integral part and the relationship between ECLIPSE and Petrel RE is explained.
Learning Outcomes
How to construct dynamic models.
Matching the simulated past production to the measured production and future recovery optimization by simulating several production scenarios.
Audience:
Course is designed for geologists, reservoir engineers, drilling and facilities engineers, geophysicists, Petrophysicists working in exploration and exploitation.
Other students and professionals pursuing engineering, applied math and other physical sciences are encouraged to apply.
Total Duration:
PDHs: 25 Hours (2.5 CEUs)- 2 weeks
