Gain advanced skills of measurement in accordance to the Standard Method of Measurement (SMM) of Building and Associated Civil Works for East Africa; with the aid of ArchiCAD software.
Learning Outcomes
Understand and apply the standard rules for Measurement in the SMM.
Interpret drawings and recognize items of work in place and categorize them into elements.
Use of ArchiCAD Software to Takeoff using the Trade-by-Trade Method of Taking-off.
Prepare a draft Bill of Quantities (BQ) for some of the more basic forms of construction.
Assessment:
After completing and passing the course successfully, you will be able to obtain an Accredited Certificate of Achievement.
At the end of the course, you will be required to do a real-life Project. Your evaluation will ascertain whether you qualify for a certificate of Technical Competence.
It is important to note that some course assessments lead to the award of an accredited certificate by the Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda.

MS Excel knowledge
Have knowledge on how to use Standard Method of Measurement, East Africa document.
A laptop, 4GB RAM minimum, i-3/Dual Core , 64 bit OS
